In order to boost incentives for exceptional foreign graduates to work in Taiwan, Article 6 of the Act stipulates that “a foreign national who has obtained a master’s or higher degree, or has obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree from one of the world’s top 1,500 universities as announced by the Ministry of Education, is not required to have a specified period of work experience to be employed in the State.” This is aimed at enhancing the recruitment of top foreign graduates.
