1.In order to encourage expanded recruitment of foreign teachers in universities, Article 5 of the Act now states “the approval and management of foreign professionals working as teachers in the state in accordance with item 3, paragraph 1, Article 46 of the Employment Service Act shall be returned to the Ministry of Education.”
2.Also, in order to establish an English environment to address the educational needs of the children of foreign talent, the current Employment Service Act includes provisions for the bilingual departments of experimental senior high schools to employ foreign teachers. Additionally, Article 4 of the Act has been expanded to allow the hiring of foreign teachers approved by the Ministry of Education in programs for the children of foreign professionals; Article 5 stipulates that engaging in professional work shall be conducted by applying for a work permit with the Ministry of Education.
