In order to attract foreign professionals to work in Taiwan and prepare them prepare them with knowledge in their job content, Taiwan’s culture, and social environment, Article 13 of the Act stipulates that “foreign professionals who plan to engage in professional work in the State, and who needs an extensive period of time to seek employment, may apply to an overseas mission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a six-month visitor visa, valid for three months, for multiple entry, to stay for up to a maximum period of six months in total.” This provides foreign professionals with flexible mechanisms to seek employment in Taiwan to meet the needs of talent and increase their willingness to work and stay in Taiwan.
