Q3: My Employment Gold Card is approved, but I filed the application outside of Taiwan. How do I pick up my Employment Gold Card?
A3: You need to download and print out your R.O.C. Resident Authorization Certificate from the Application Portal to enter Taiwan, and then you can pick up the Card at the Service Center of National Immigration Agency which you appointed in your application.

A1: Please apply for extension online via "Foreign Professionals Online Application Platform (Employment Gold Card)" within 4 months before the expiry. You need to upload required documents such as passport, a passport-size photo in color within 6 months, current Employment Gold Card, and the other proof documents in your professional fiend. The application will be jointly reviewed by National Immigration Agency of Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Labor. An approved application will be granted from 1 to 3 years extension.

A1: You are eligible to apply for a 6-month job-seeking ARC before the expiry of your Employment Gold Card. For the application, you need to prepare the following documents including your passport, Employment Gold Card, a passport-size photo in color within 6 months, and application fee of NT$1,000, to apply to any Service Center of National Immigration Agency, and if necessary and only for one time, another 6 months extension.

Change the nationality
Q1：Is it possible to change the nationality of Employment Gold Card holders? What are the processes, restrictions, and regulations?
A1：
- The Employment Gold Card is a 4-in-1 certificate that includes a work permit, residence visa, Alien Resident Certificate, and reentry permit; any change in the card holder’s nationality will invalidate the Employment Gold Card. In the event of the card holder’s change in nationality, they must reapply with their new nationality; once the case has been approved, the existing Employment Gold Card must be cancelled. An Employment Gold Card with the new nationality and existing ID number will be issued but the applicant’s rights for permanent residency will remain unaffected as the period of stay for both cards will be taken into consideration.
- The Employment Gold Card holder’s dependents are not required to reapply for residence permits.
- When entering Taiwan, the Employment Gold Card holder must provide a passport with the corresponding nationality for inspection; residence entry will be prohibited if the nationality of the original Employment Gold Card has been lost.
