Foreign professionals, foreign special professionals, and their dependent relatives who apply for permanent residency must meet the condition of being of good moral character. Pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Foreign Professionals Act, the Ministry of the Interior has established the Standards Governing the Adjudication Criteria of Having No Bad Character for the Foreign Professionals and Their Spouse and Children Applying for Permanent Residency​(Chinese).
